Hello ! My name is Gabriel. I'm french, webmaster of the site " http://renault12.free.fr/ ". I have already posted on this forum a few posts, but they did not get a lot of answers ( is it because I write in english ? ). Today, I post here because with some friends, we are looking for the prices of the Dacia 1300 parts ; especially the front fenders. Could someone give me a link, some informations & help ? Dacia 1300 a ete construit entre l'annee 1969-2004,avec minors modifications,
donc il n'est pas considere un autos d'epoque. La piece que vous cherchez ne cout pas plus de 50 euro.
Le prix de Dacia 1300 est de 4000 euro.
Plus de details vous pouvez obtenir de proprietaires de Dacia 1300.

J'avais été en contact il y a quelque temps avec un membre du forum, mais je n'ai pas eu de ses nouvelles depuis longtemps ( son adresse MSN était freshparu@msn.com je crois ).
Bref l'on avait longtemps parlé de la qualité des pièces Dacia, des prix des pièces, etc...
Pour ce qui est de Renault en France, il devient très difficile de trouver des pièces, et les prix en occasion grimpent ( 100e pour une aile avant en état correct, je trouve ça bien trop cher ).

Que me conseiller donc pour en faire importer en France ? Serait-ce possible par l'intermédiaire de Dacia ? Dacia les fabrique t-il encore neuves ?

Thanks for these informations.
I have been in contact a long time ago with a guy from this forum, but I have no news from him since a long time ago ( his MSN address was " freshparu@msn.com " ).
I talked with him a lot about Dacia parts, the quality, the prices etc...
For the R12 parts in France, it is very difficult to find new parts, and prices in second-hand parts are turning crazy ( 100e for a used front fender !!! ), and I think it is really too much expensive.

So, how could I do to import ' body-parts ' like front fenders ? Would it be possible through Dacia ? Till when will Dacia making parts for the 1300 ?

Gabriel , i buyed 2 months ago a rear fender with 1.25 Euros . A good rear fender costs just 1.25 Euros .

I am now looking for a french chromed taillight . I have the right taillight [ less than 1 euro ] and now i am looking for left one .

Salut !

En Roumanie, Dacia fabrique encore, toutes les pieces neuves pour les variantes qui sont nees a partir de modele R12. Je te dis "encore", parce que malhereusement, Dacia-Groupe RENAULT a arrete la fabrication de ce modele et il est possible aussi d'arreter la fabrication de pieces de rechange.
N'oublions pas qu'ils ont dit que le modele "SOLENZA" sera fabrique jusqu'a 2007 et apres ils sont revenu avec un delai jusqu'a mars 2005.
Donc, a mon avis, la fabrication de pieces de rechange pour Dacia 1300/R12 n'est plus sure dans le futur proche.
Etant donne que Dacia 1300 c'est la voiture nationale (encore), en Roumanie il y a nombreux commercant de pieces de rechange neuves et d'occasion.
Le probleme c'est l'import parce que personne s'en occupe.

Pour import pieces de rechanges, seulement Dacia-Groupe RENAULT a cree un grand systeme logistique pour le modele LOGAN. Peut-etre qu'ils ont prevu dans ce systeme les besoins de pieces de rechange de Dacia 1300/R12 a l'etranger.

Je te propose de contacter Dacia-Groupe RENAULT ou d'acheter directement en Roumanie quand tu vas faire un tour d'EUROPE.

1 euro=40000 lei (ROL)... La liste n'est pas complete mais te donne une idee concernant le prix....

Steph, I have some photos of my R12. I will try to find them, my hard disk is a mess ! They are supposed to be on my website, but as it is not updated anymore, you just can't see it.
My Renault 12 comes from my Grandpa : he inherited it from a Belgian uncle in 1984. This car was sold new on the 24 January 1978 in Anwerpen ( Anvers- North Belgium ). ' She ' has never left the family !

About the automatic gearbox, it is very very difficult to find one in France. First, because a lot of users of automatic gearbox do not take care of them, never watch the oil-level, never respect the gear changes, etc etc... But in fact, this gearbox is very reliable.

There is big problem about the front fenders : the Dacia 1300 type 1 & type 2 seems to have exactly the same front fenders than our R12. But the Dacia 1310 fenders are different near the front light.
So I must find front fenders of 1300...

In Romania you can still find any type of front fenders, but I don't think that the producer will send you one in France.

You were asking me if I had some photos of my R12. Just for waiting, here are the picture of a Renault 12 TS type 2 1976 that a friend of me has restored.
His R12 has the " integral ' front seats of the french TS, and a rare accessory : the Dunlop wheels.

Here is another set of photos, from a Renault 12 TL break type 2 ( station wagon after september 1975 ) that was converted by a friend to a nice TS type 1 ( before septembre 1975 ).

In fact, he just had to change to front face

It is really very nice, i own a 1975 DACIA 1300, in original shape and i want to take it to a pain shop this summer, but i have a problem, the silver stripe along the front and rear window is a little burned becouse of the sun, so, do u think i could find something like that in France

Sorry for my long absence, I did not had time to stay on the internet.

Well, about the grey Renault 12 break type 1, this is unfortunately not my Renault 12. This car was fully restored by a member of my forum, and I puted the photos here because I thought this R12 could be for you a good example of french restoration.

I will soon try to post " my " Renault 12 pictures...

Well, about parts in France : currently, it is very difficult to find such parts. Most of the body parts are very expensive, and Renault France has stopped to produce most of the R12 parts since now about 10 years ( just a example : a rear fender costs 250e !!! ).

That's why french people are trying to get parts from Romania ( I suppose I am not alone ), but it seems that you can't get anything you want in Romania.

I will try to find some photos of my 12...
