Hello everybody,

My instrument panel needs to be replaced and now people in service are claiming that there are not available (to order) instrument panels that show momentarily fuel consumption, but only new ones without that option, like in the dacia logan new collection 2007. So this means that if I need to change the instrument panel I will receive one without the momentarily fuel consumption option.
Can someone confirm this or guide me where to get the relevant information.

thank you

Is true. If you insist, you will be able to obtain a 230 Euro in accessories from Dacia for this inconvenient.

Yes it is true you will not get a moment fuel usage anymore BUT !!!
If your garage are any good they must be able to swap your old one for the new one

I think I saw some people offer chip ( http://tunning.uv.ro) for model without dashboard computer. So, maybe you can insert chip in new panel.

Isn't Dacia abliged to have a replacement part for their vehicles for a certain period of time. Does this mean that if I need to change rear light I will receive one with white direction light color instead of original yellow?

creator, the reson that feature was omitted was a very simple one: it never worked! or at least not correctly,
and rather erratically. the fairly simple way of DACIA/RENAULT measuring fuel flow just does not coordinate
well enough. so you might actuall be better of without. please have a look in the catalogues, this feature is not
mentioned anywhere anymore.

greetings - heinz -

There is nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction. Thats why the British drive on the left.

I can't agree with you heinz! Mine LGN is old one and has this function, and so far it works rather well. To remind you, it is fuel consumption at certain moment, so if I step on accelerator, it can go up as high as 18 l/100 km, when I take my foot from accelerator in 5th gear at 100 km/h computer switches injection of and it shows 0,0 l/100 km. For me this is very good option, so when it shows two cypher number, I step of smile.gif
I suppose that people misinterpreted this info (I did too in first few days), and that was the reason why it is not available any more.
However, I think, but I'm not sure, that board computer can be programed to show this option in new versions too, since it uses signals from fuel flow (used for average consumption) and current speed. I guess that you know that board computer in Renault uses fuel tank gauge only at start to get idea about quantity of fuel, until next engine start it calculates remaining fuel in tank with fuel flow data and average consumption data. I noticed that several times I parked my car with eg. 2 stripes of fuel, and started next morning with one (I don't think that one stripe of fuel evaporated radmasa.gif ). This has been already disscused in several forums.

EXACTLY !! The reason they stopped using the Momentary fuel consumption was because so many people said it wasnt working properly .IT WAS just that they could not understand it
I had it on my first logan and it was a great help controlling how much fuel I was using
