de ceva vreme ma confrunt cu aceasta problema. dupa cum se poate vedea in poze, ea este de 8gb, tot ce este pe C ocupa 3gb si ceva, si cu toate astea imi zice ca mai am 900mb liberi. am dat checkdisk, defrag, am scanat de virusi, toate fara rezultate. aveti careva idei care sa fie cauza?

1. da-i sa iti arate si hidden files ca e posibil sa fie si alea care mananca mult spatiu si nu iti apar cand dai select all : tools>folder options>view
2. nu cumva ai si page file-ul tot pe partitia aia? daca da mai mananca si ala destul.
3. vezi sa nu ai recycle bin-ul plin ca nu iti apare ca spatiu cand le selectezi pe toate dar ocupa. Goleste-l , sterge si temp-ul ( C:\Documents and Settings\UserulTau\Local Settings\Temp) si mai vedem dupa.

du-te in explorer, tools\folder options, seteaza-l sa-ti arate fisierele hidden si cele de sistem si s-ar putea sa dispara problema ta.

am facut tot ce mi-ati zis, s-au mai eliberat vreo 150 mega, dar tot mai raman 4 giga care nu stiu cum se justifica.
am dat show hidden folders/files inainte sa vad cat imi ocupa tot ce e pe C

Ai ceva Norton Utilities instalat? Daca da atunci de acolo provine problema. Selecteaza Recycle Bin-ul si dai Empty Norton Protected Files.

Da un disk cleanup , mergi la more option si da cleanup la system restore.
Dar poate e mare folderul windows , la mine cu sp2 are aproape 3 giga doar el singur , fara programs file si documents & settings care au si ele cam 5 giga .

Si ar mai fi si spatiul rezervat de XP pentru swap (pagefile), daca e lasat default cred ca e 768 MB. Click dreapta pe My Computer - Properties - Advanced - Performance Settings - Advanced - Virtual Memory.
Pentru cei cu folderul "Windows" mai mare de 1,5 GB: eu am sters fisierele create de instalarea SP2 (alea albastre) si am eliberat spatiu fara sa afecteze sistemul. Sau mai exista fisiere "memory.dmp" pe care le face sistemul cand se blocheaza (eroarea cu begining memory dump) ce pot avea lejer 500 MB. Se pot sterge si alea manual.
Concret, de la 4 GB am ajuns la 1,5 GB ocupati de sistem si merge fara probleme de 2 ani.

P.S. - Nu faceti nimic din ce am scris decat pe raspunderea voastra.

Sau mai incearca asta: la control panel-> performance and maintenance cauta sistem restore si dezactiveaza-l.

De fapt mai e o faza....degeaba dai show hidden files ca tot nu iti arata toate fisierele....ca de exemplu fisierele de sistem din c...incearca cu norton comander(arata fisierele de sistem) si ia prin eliminare fiecare fisier din c vezi ce dimensiuni au

Dat fiind ca are Norton instalat dar nu stia de Protected Recycle Bin atunci e clar ca tot ce a sters de cand il are instalat tot acolo e deci Valentine are 100% dreptate.

Ti-am spus in postul de mai sus. Click dreapta pe Recycle Bin si dai Empty (sau Purge, nu mai tin minte smile.gif ) Norton Protected Files.

Am sters toate aluziile referitoare la FAT32 mai bun ca Ntfs si comentariile care au urmat. De asemenea si sfatul de a trece pe Linux, cind omul vrea Windows. avand in vedere ca vorbesc numai prostii si in necunostinta de cauza sa imi stearga un moderator posturile!

Vezi ca exista un programel numit XPlite care sterge el toate astea, care in timp pot ocupa giga multi, asta daca ai Windows-ul instalat de mult, daca e proaspat vre-un virus ceva, dar nu prea cred. Google > Search > XPlite.

Norton Antivirus 2005 NU mai are notiunea de "norton protected files" instalata implicit.

Uncle-Sam >> La fiecare pornire a calculatorului iti arata aceeasi marime a spatiului liber, chiar daca nu creezi/stergi fisiere? Te-ai uitat in directorul "System Volume Information" sa vezi cit ocupa?

pai din cate am citit eu asta nu ti s-a mai zis...

ma rog, incearca si tu sa cureti registrii si sa scapi de spyware...se poate sa ai si aici probleme....
