Acctually not that long. With my current km i make a year it's 2 years, and I don't plan to sell the car after 2 years.

here, right now 1L of gas is cca 8 kn, and 1L of LPG is cca 3 kn.

1€ cca = 7,4 kn

I got a question, this might be a dumb question but still, whats the diffrence between LPG and GPL?

GPL - gaz petrol lichefiat (romanian)

LPG - liquefied petroleum gas (english)

The diference exists only between LPG and LNG (liquified natural gas)

on the gas station you can buy only LPG. LNG can buy only on gas-baloon (butelie on romanian) and you must transfer on the car. dangerous!!! and I think the installation is calibrate for the LPG. you must know how to calibrate for LNG. finally the price are the same, diference from the quality i think is small, to deserve the work.

Well there's one more difference, LNG is at a much higher pressure and the tanks are bigger.

I think that LPG is filled at cca 10 bar and that the pressure in the tank is cca 6-8 bar, and with LNG the pressure in the tank is cca 200 bar what makes the tank very thick and big.

LPG is a mixture of propane and butane, plus others in very small proportions. LNG is methane, and it's cheaper, but the installations are more expensive; and it's much harder to find LNG, at least in Ro. The gas you find bottled for domestic use is also LPG, this is due to the fact that methane needs very high pressure to liquefy. The running gas you get on the pipe for domestic use is methane, but that comes as a gas, not as a liquid.

Yes, and the tanks are also heavier (thicker walls for the tanks).

Don't know about the LNG pressure, but the pressure in the LPG tank is so low, that you can actually plug a pipe coming out of the tank with the palm of your hand and you can stop a leak without much struggle

don't try this at home though...

i got frostbites trying to unscrew too soon the adaptor on my former opel.

Depends on the city installation, but basically you are right. Sometimes the home used gas is a mixture of different gasses that is produced in the city. Usually it's methane from earth.

dacia does not have an official price here, because they don't do it at all. i have to find an authorized mechanic that does the installation and do it there. i asked two of them for the price and that's it for now. more or less it's 1500 €. for now the whole operation is on hold until i solve some ohther things that have come up , but i hope i'll do it the next few months.

For 300€ I don't think it's worth the time and expenses to go to Belgrade just to install the LPG. Comming just for the fun of it and to have a beer is another matter

Take a look from this side:

300€ saving for one day trip from Zagreb to Belgrade? I think it pays off.
But, the choice is yours.

Well there's more than just a one day trip. First of all I think they need at least a day to put everything in, so I'll need a place to stay. But most important is what am I supposed to do if I need to service the installation or have a reclamation? Am I going to drive 400 km every time? Fat chance!

Theres a couple of guys that are authorised mechanics for installing LPG here. The real question is BRC or Landi Renzo? If you can answer that, that would be helpfull.

And the third thing is that I don't know if the regulations regarding the LPG installations are the same in Sernia and Croatia. I know taht they are different in Bosnia, and people who went there to do the instalaltion, allso to save money, later had problems when they had to register the car.

The fourth thing is that I would have to find some days to be off from work, and I don't have any spare.

So in short, I don't think the whole operation is worth 300€ to me.

As for Agram and Zagreb, I just did not want people to think that Zagreb is a lemon or an orange

Ok, i understand your arguments.
If I am in your place, I would install it in ZG, definitively.

I think that prices in ZG for LPG installation are too high, and one very important thing is unclear to me:
What would happen with warranty if you install LPG?

Member nicknamed "Dora" is well known expert for gas instalations in our country.
When you collect all informations needed, it would be easy to choose between
BRC, Landi Renzo or something third.
But, question about warranty worries me.
For example: BRC gas installation for 1,4 or 1,6 Logan is about 900 euro in unauthorized service, and after installation, warranty is void.
That same BRC installation , done in authorized-by-dacia service costs 1200 euro, but it covers warranty on installation and on engine.

What would happen with warranty if you install LPG?

The warranty stays, I just have to do the installation in an authorized representative of the company I'll choose, and not in someones garage

Offcourse, after the installation I have to do all service jobs at my dealers authorised service, but for all services regarding the LPG installation I have to go to the guys that installed it.
