Io am un Asus, nu mai tin minte ce model. Are si mufe usb, i-am pus alt firmware. Nu a avut pana acum nici o problema. Astept sa iasa n-ul final sa ii schimb placuta de wireless din el ca sa am latime de banda mai mare.

EL. Mi-am adus aminte, am modelul WL-500G Premium V1.

Nu rulez decat linuxuri pe acasa... asa ca in afara de a-mi putea citi muzica de pe fileserver, mare lucru n-ar face. Oricum si conexiunea e criptata, ca nu sunt eu genul care sa faca bucurii la vecini. Firmware e latest & greatest, dar ultimul o fost scos prin 2007, daca nu ma insel.

Da, era pe aici un thread, unde se plangea argon ca aude un bazait.
Nu zic ca n-or fi si altele mai bune... dar in banii astia mai gasesti doar sweex. Si in afara de cazul in care vrei functii mai destepte, cum ar fi client de torrent pentru hdd extern, nu vad rostul sa te orientezi catre ceva mai scump.

Eh gasesti doua Sweex... Gasesti cel putin un Edimax, chiar putin mai ieftin cred ca e, si un pic mai scumpe, MSI-uri ori Asus-uri. MSI-urile mi s-au parut cele mai ok overall, cred ca am vandut la RG60SE-uri la servici de m-am plictisit, si doar de unu' imi aduc aminte ca s-a intors cu probleme reale.
Si pentru cine are pretentii sa fie ceva de capu' unui router, un Linksys mi se pare cea mai indicata solutie.

Hai ma, ce aveti cu DI-524 ?... Am eu unul cam de cand e initiat topicul asta si merge snur in RDS. E super-securizat (WAP sau WEP2, nu mai tin minte cum se cheama, ca de doi ani nu am umblat la el) si, colac peste pupaza, de vreo trei saptamani ii dicteaza ce sa faca si unei imprimante care stie wireless (Lexmark X4950). Si nu greseste niciodata... Initial o setasem pe USB la un computer si pe wireless la altele doua (un laptop si un desktop) dar de cateva zile am scos USB-ul si primeste comenzile NUMAI wireless... De la toate trei

Cam generala afirmatia, poate ii spui si modelul si pretul si daca se mai gaseste in magazine modelul respectiv.

Cateva modele, poate la alte magazine gasesti in bugetul tau:

In principiu pt RDS iti trebuie sa stie PPPOE, majoritatea stiu. Cu cat dai mai mult cu atat iei un router mai bun. Ideal ar fi unul cu Draft N, e un nou standard de transmisie mai rapida, insa trebuie ca si placa ta de retea de la calculator sa stie Draft N

Eu am unul de-asta care functioneaza non-stop din decembrie 2007. Nu l-am scos din priza niciodata si nici n-a avut nevoie de vreo reconfigurare.

Si au am avut unul la fel, am pus firmware Tomato pe el (e linux based). E OK, mai bine zis era OK la vremea lui. Acum e o scula depasita, cu un pret prea mare fata de ce ofera. In plus atuul lui era faptul ca puteai sa ii pui alt firmware, sa ai optiuni multe, dar nu toti folosesc aceste optiuni, deci nu pentru toti ar merita pretul mai mare.
Eu nu as da peste 200 de ron pe asa ceva in 2010.

Nu ma pricep, nu stiu ce ar putea face in plus unul de generatie mai noua, deci nu te contrazic. L-am recomandat pentru ca e fiabil, atata tot.

Daca nu ai nevoie de optiuni multe si iti e suficient firwareul original inseamna ca nu are rost sa platesti mai mult pe o scula capabila de multe chestii dar pe care nu o folosesti nici pe departe la capacitatea ei. Firmwareul origninal de la WRT54GL este FOARTE sarac in optiuni, e strictul necesar. Insa cu un DD-WRT sau Tomato poti sa il incarci cu o gramada de chestii (unele pe care evident nu o sa le folosesti)
Daca ai nevoie de optiunile respective e OK sa cumperi un router linux-based, insa mai sunt si alte modele, nu numai asta.
In ziua de azi parerea mea e ca dpdv hardware deviceul e cam depasit (procesor, memorie), exista altele mai rapide chuiar cu Draft N la preturi similare, de asta zic ca nu mai merita. Totusi in lumea it 3-4 ani sunt o perioada imensa, e greu sa ramai competititv la nesfarsit.

super scula pasta il am si io inca,de 3 ani si merge de rupe biggrin.gif .
se gasesc placute wireless ?

pe rds,merge de rupe la torrente si mai fac si streming prin el de filme.adica ma uit pe laptop la filme din pc.nu se intepenesc deloc,nu se blocheaza.
Io am pe el instalat firmware oleg 1.9.2.7-10 (2008-03-30)

E posibil sa il aduci la nivel de wireless N, cu conditia sa faci un update la firmware si posibil si la ceva pe partea de HW.
Totusi daca nu ai si la laptop (receptor) asemenea capabilitati te chinui degeaba.

Eu receptoare am dar nu prea inteleg rostul oboselii, doar asa sa zic ca am N ? Daca am ceva mai mare de carat pot sa o fac pe cablu. Poate doar sa am filme HD intr-un NAS si sa vreau musai wireless cu un media player HD.

ti-am zis ma uit la filme hd care sunt pe pc.pe laptop fara jena(nu le copiez in laptop..
Fac streming in retea.
nu se inteapa deloc,face fata cu brio si mai sta si la download upload cu 5-6 MB .rds 100Mb tongue.gif

Pe wireless G nu prea are cum, poate pe cablu. Daca prinzi pe wireless 2.7-3 MB sa fii fericit.

pai da pe cablu,pe wifi merge in limita de 2-3 smile.gif

doar zic asa ca merge de rupe avea trafic si de 100Gb trecut si nu parea sa aiba probleme. sa se blocheze sa necesite restart.

Cand am avut Linksysul WRT54GL cu Tomato eu il pusesem sa isi ia un restart automat in fiecare miercuri la 4 noaptea. Pentru curatarea memoriei, avea problemedaca dadeai jos multe torente (din citite) si am luat masura asta ca precautie.
Acum am un Edimax BR6104K fara wireless, dar pe asta il opresc cand tai curentul la calculator, deci isi ia reseturi la 1-2 zile cel putin.
In general routerele sunt facute sa poata tine upload de luni de zile. Evident cate un restart e binevenit uneori, e ocupa electrica smile.gif

probleme cu un router edimax. Se buseste de 2-3 ori pe zi si de fiecare data trebuie refacute setarile. Trebuie dus la garantie sau are vreo smecherie ce nu o stiu eu?
