Si mecanica cu tarnacopu. Cand eram copil, salivam si eu dupa americane, ca doar asta vedeam la posturile unguresti. Atunci doar masinile lor mi se pareau....masini. La romani vedeam Dacii, Fiat, si Lada. Dar am mai crescut, am vazut ca exista si altceva, vrand, nevrand m-am mai lovit de istoria auto americana, si acuma ma scarbeste cu desavarsire.

Asta cu partea mecanica. Daca luam si design-ul in calcul....cum a zis dacicuss....

Sa ne mai intrebam de ce la americani masinile alearga pe linii drepte si in cel mai bun caz pe circuite ovale?
La capitolul suspensie au cam ramas in urma.
Iar acele motoare puternice se bazeaza pe o cilindree imensa.
La puteri echivalente, europenele si japonezele au chiar un sfert din capacitatea cilindrica a unei americane.
Va vine sa credeti sau nu, masina de mai jos, un Cadillac XLR productie 2006 (model aparut in 2005), are suspensii pe foaie de arc.

Nu ascund faptul ca unele modele americane sunt superbe si-mi las gura apa privindu-le.
Dar si numai pt. faptul ca americanii nu-si pun problema consumului, sfidand restul lumii la capitolul petrol, n-as cumpara o americana.
Imi plac prea multe masini ca sa le enumar aici, nu prefer o marca anume... sunt diferite modele, fie ele japoneze, americane, europene sau de alta provenienta, care merita toata atentia.

Sincer, imi placea Nascar, dar cine stie cat de cat Nascar, stie CE GREU se descurca masinile pe circuite ca Watkins Glen sau Sears Point. Merg ca niste sapunuri in cada.

Masina din avatarul meu ar prezenta singura optiune de masina americana pe care a-s fi multumit sa o am.
OFF: stiti cumva cam cat costa inchirierea unei cisterne, ca daca iau benzina de 100 de mii nu cred ca ajung sa turez motorul de 3 ori pana la 6000 ca se si termina.

Si cum iti explici faptul ca, un tuner american, intr-o emisiune televizata, a scos si aruncat acea "suspensie revolutionara" ca pe masea stricata?
Ca american mandru ce m-as fi aflat, as fi tinut cu dintii de "valorile nationale".
Nu tot ce scrie pe hartie se regaseste si in realitate.

Nea argon...

Pe batranul continent (adica Europa) de vreo 10-15 ani (daca nu chiar mai mult) NICI pe camioane nu prea se mai folosesc arcuri foi, desi proaste nu erau pentru camioane...mai ales pe spate.

...ar trebui sa iti zica ceva SI asta.

Nu sunt expert in rezistenta materialelor, dar din cate stiu, un arc foaie prea scurt nu are cursa prea lunga, i se modifica foarte mult parametri cu cat e mai comprimat (ceea ce poate fi bine in unele cazuri, in altele nu), dar ORICUM...ocupa mult loc in masina. Chiar nu vad DE CE se foloseste la o masina de generatie 2006 ... MASINA SPORT...arcuri foi.
