g100sic excl.gif
Think about it ! I had the car for 1 year ph34r.gif I payed 1000 euros to use it (that is not bad at all) biggrin.gif I drove 15000 km in the car unsure.gif
It has a dent on the door wub.gif
Its tyres have 15000km usage
The exhaust system has 1 year usage
The new car has a boot opener and a small Spoiler on the boot biggrin.gif
The engine is now a Euro 4 biggrin.gif
and it is Brand New biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
The boss was worried about getting a bad name for the Dacia name that they are building on
So g100sic I still think I have a good deal
It is law in Germany that you pay for the kms that you have driven even when it is not your fault wacko.gif
I am happy with the outcome
Stu

PS
What the hell is your name ??

Sorry mate, the whole situation reminded me of an old joke, so I just couldn't help it not to comment the way I did… biggrin.gif

Seriously, I live for the day when I would be able to do here in Serbia what you did in Germany (even if I had to pay for the mileage wink.gif). Unfortunately, most owners of the businesses here have a shady origin of their wealth, and they are used to always having right and might, and not The Customer. I live for the day when they will be taught a lesson!

I don't understand why it is so important to you to know my name, but since it is, you'll get it in the personal message. smile.gif

Took a short trip today (May 1st Holliday picnic... well, more of a hike actually, no food, just walk about for a couple of hours smile.gif), 40 km total back and forth, up hill than down, some 400 meters of height difference, around 70 km/h average, and had a consumption of around 6 l/100km. smile.gif

@Stu
You see now one more reason to use just a nick - it's more fun! wink.gif biggrin.gif

My broad knowledge of impossible-to-pronounce languages tells me it's no doubt kind of a game, like U2= you too, 4U= for you, and so on... radmasa.gif

Mine is easier, taco=log (hard, thick piece of wood). Think a bit if you have some spare time cool.gif

I must add one more impression regarding my holiday trip. I have to say I am very satisfied how the suspension works on Logan. This was totally different road then the freeway - narrow, mostly curvy, and also with vertical humps; just the right kind of road for suspension and steering testing. I already said that my average speed was around 70 km/h, but I was able to reach speeds even over 100 km/h. The suspension managed to cancel all the effects of sharp turns and breaking. But don't take it from me, my wife took the trip very good also, and she suffers from bad case of motion sickness!

Stu,
I hope, you will go for 16v this time.
I have LGN 16v (platinum gray) for about 850 km now, and I am very satisfied with my decision.
Good acceleration between 2000 and 3000 rmp in the city. I don't need more than 3500 rmp in the city at all. Excellent gear-box.
Upholsteries are very robust. I scratch seats, several times with 10 kg pieces of sharp metal, without any damage to it.
For me Every Logan should be painted like Prestige models, like in India.

Hi all,

Sorry had not time to answer earlier.

Yes, Jaksa, Estonian is related to Finnish.

Finnish is more archaic, is to be talked slowly, with dignity, and has very long words.
Estonian is to be talked two times faster, has two times shorter words, with only the accented syllable considered important enough to be pronounced as clearly as all Finnish syllables. Besides, through the history, if Estonians like a foreign word, they took it and use it; there are an enormous amount of Low-German (Dutch), French, Latin, Greek, and Russian words in Estonian, while Finns have almost succeeded in saving their pure Finno-Ugric aboriginality.

Finns are almost pure Nordic; Estonians are... well, Estonians. Germans have tried to exterminate them once, Russians twice; always the area have flooded with people from all over the Europe, and strangely enough, the remaining few have always assimilated the outnumbering masses of newcomers.

Strange enough, the Estonian word for Mother, ema, is very similar to that of Hebrew, ima. The Finnish is äiti - similar to Estonian eit - a very unpolite word for an old woman, or teenager boy's word for girls of their age.

The word "boy" has come from Finno-Ugric languages.

Estonians always are in a hurry, they are always "being late"; Finns have all the time in the Unverse, and are punctual without Estonian hurry.

It makes Estonians an awfully nervous lot, if compared to Finns. If two Finns are talking they really are "engaged in a conversation," e.g. one is doing the talking, and the other one is doing the listening. Then, they switch, and so on, and so on.

Estonians rarely have a "conversation," they just talk simultaneously, cutting in, turning away if loosing interest, and why not starting to read a newspaper, leaving the other one talking to himself (which isn't a problem if he is as Estonian, or might cause a mild to heavy offense if he is a Finn).

All in all, Estonians admire Finns, and have a little complex of inferiority (why, there is a reason, in 1939, Russians tried to get their paws on Finns as well but Finns maintained their freedom, making now one of the richest nations in the world. Estonians who were almost as well off in 1939 can now enjoy just being a bit better off than Latvians and Lithuanians). On the other hand, Finns are a bit worried and afraid of (luckily mostly economical) aggressiveness of Estonians, and very many Finns with a business idea and no business come to try it in more opened Estonia.

@Taco:
Thanks mate, I wish your song the same success next year! smile.gif
It would be helpful though before the next competition, if Spain were to be divided into at least half a dozen independent states who would then award points to each other! wink.gif radmasa.gif

Well, our song won the Eurovision Contest, our tennis player (Ana Ivanovic) won the Berlin tournament, we will also have a stroke of luck to have a government formed at the very last moment before the deadline, now for us Serbs only sky is the limit! biggrin.gif radmasa.gif Well, maybe if we also won the World Football Championship, and Formula 1 too... biggrin.gif radmasa.gif

@Stu:
C'mon man, I can't believe you don't like our song?! biggrin.gif radmasa.gif
Just a little bit?? wink.gif wub.gif
I hope you are not trying to say that it's worse than British... wink.gif or German... biggrin.gif

@g100sic:
Great idea..but I'm afraid to say you're already late; we're well on our way to 17 different "nationalities" (only Basques and Catalonians use the word "state" ).And when we have splitted in those 17 countries...we will vote for anyone but for our neighbouring nationality sad.gif sad.gif

On the other hand we'd have more chances to finally win the World Cup, just like the Britons do with their England, Scotland, Wales and North of Ireland national teams radmasa.gif

All the best !

If you manage to successfully divide into so-called independent countries,
of course through blood, tears and sweat,
you should be surprised how much you would love each other afterwards…
Almost worth trying. cool.gif

@mccoy:
Good point, both times! biggrin.gif

I'd also have a lot more to talk about and around the European Song Contest, but let's get back on track... biggrin.gif

I am happy to announce that I have passed the official running-in period of 3000 km! smile.gif

I'm even happier to report that after the last refueling my average consumption in the city fell under 10l/100km! smile.gif Actually, it was around 9l/100km (8.9 by the OBC, 9.1 calculated from the gas-station meter), but when I take into account that 1/4 of the distance traveled was on the open road, averaging some 6l/100km, it leaves me with an average of around 9.9l/100km in the city! smile.gif

Obviously, the consumption has gone down, but I still don't know is it because of the improved performance of the engine after the running-in, or simply because of the season change (warmer weather). Does anyone have an appropriate statistics? I will keep up with my own and report regularly, but I won't have the answer till at least next spring!

But that's the problem of the rest of the world, not Brits. radmasa.gif

Well, somebody mentioned European Song Contest?
A parade of monsters, cripples, charlatans, plagiarists, transsexuals, lesbians…
with just a few nice - looking girls cool.gif

Yes, Serbia, taking a part for the first time took victory.
1. Bright side - nice tune presented emotionally, hmm looking singer…
Message - everyone can win, even from small country, United Europe,
brotherhood of men, happiness everywhere… smile.gif
2. Dark side - lesbian movement is momentarily stronger than the other one,
important influence of Gypsy organizations, pro-European therapy prescribed to Serbia…
Message – see above… blink.gif sad.gif
Take what you want wink.gif radmasa.gif
