Even with the new California launching and the recently announced Scuderia Spider 16M on the way, and despite a two-year waiting list for its product globally, distributors around the world are apparently sitting on too much inventory. Sales of the V12 models have reportedly stalled and F430 sales have slowed to a trickle since the California was announced. We now seriously doubt the company will be able to reach its goal of 10,000 sales by 2010, which Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo had been promising as recently as the Paris Motor Show back in October. For its part, Ferrari is saying that this is traditionally a slow time of year, that F430 sales were naturally affected by the announcement of the 16M and California, and that the extended holiday break has more to do with the calendar than the economy. Ford halts production in Russia for one month

Every once in a while during discussions on the American car market tanking you'll hear about emerging markets potentially saving the day for each automakers' finances. Russia had been eyed as one of those lifeboats, yet it turns out that people aren't buying cars in Russia either. Ford has joined Renault in stopping all production there for a month, extending the traditional holiday shutdown period from two weeks to a full month. With Russia a victim of not only the global credit crisis, but fleeing investment and falling prices for its natural resources, it means skittish times for ordinary Russian buyers. And that means harder times for Ford.

Mitsubishi set to idle Illinois plant for seven (7 ) weeks

Slumping sales have pushed Mitsubishi to schedule a production stoppage at their Normal, Illinois plant early next year for a period lasting more than 40 days. The facility, employing 1,568 workers, manufacturers both the Galant and Eclipse. When the assembly line lights go dark between February 16 and April 3, it will signify the longest halt of production since the facility began operation in 1988. The news obviously isn't good, but it thankfully doesn't carry any immediate word about layoffs. According to Mitsubishi, all employees will remain on payroll during the shutdown and be shifted to other non-production jobs, including maintenance and training.

asta se numeste economie de piata adevarata, ca atunci cand isi umfla conturile din vanzari ca nesimtitii nu impart profitul cu contribuabilii, ai caror bani ii vor

Totul a fost datorita sindicatului angajatilor care nu au acceptat reduceri de salarii inainte de 2011. Cred ca liderii aia de sindicat nu sunt intregi la cap ...

lasa ca nici stafful gm nu e mai presus. Ba dimpotriva, la ce masini au scos.. ca sa nu mai zic de fiabilitate, de raport bun pret/calitate etc

Esti plictisitor. Am inteles parerea ta despre GM si calitatea GM, cred ca o stie tot forumul. Pune-o la semnatura ca sa nu mai scrii peste tot si asa se mai face si economie de spatiu pe server.

Era vorba aici de ce nu le-a dat guvernul banii.

Vanzari surprinzatoare pentru noul Fiesta

42200 de unitati Fiesta au fost vandute de Ford in Europa in primele doua luni de la lansarea modelului.

Criza mondiala din industria auto nu afecteaza proiectele de succes ale constructorilor importanti. Desi are probleme mari in Statele Unite, facand parte, alaturi de Chrysler si GM. din grupul celor trei producatori care cauta ajutor din partea Statului American, Ford are proiecte care functioneaza. Cel mai recent este cel legat de noua generatie Fiesta, carereuseste sa atinga cifre de vanzari bune in pofida problemelor care afecteaza industria.

Disponibil de doua luni pe pietele Europei, noul Fiesta a reusit sa vanda 42.200 de exemplare, devenind al doilea model ca volum de vanzari in portofoliul marcii, dupa Focus. Cifrele-surpriza i-au aruncat pe cei de la Ford Europe pe pozitia a doua din punctul de vedere al cotei de piata din noiembrie, in spatele celor de la Volkswagen.

Conform celor de la Ford, 50% dintre clientii noului Fiesta aleg un nivel de dotari ridicat atunci cand isi aleg masina.

Mda, la noi politia era chiar in fata lor! Numai ca au zis ca sunt de la Comunitara si nu e treaba lor! Bine ai facut ca te-ai mutat in Oz! Daca vreodata iti vine cheful sa te intorci, altfel decat in vizita, spune-mi si-ti mai trimit si alte "perle" romanesti de te razgandesti instant!
