Nu e ingrijorator deloc. Schumi testeaza, ajuta la punerea la punct a masinii si la finalul anului viitor tot la Ferrari va ramane nr. 1.

Cum si McLaren sunt niste "sfinti", ramane doar Ferrari in vizor, nu-i asa? Ca restul echipelor nu conteaza....

Politica Ferrari de a avea un nr.1 si un nr.2 este problema lor, este alegerea lor. Cati piloti s-au ridicat la nivelul lui Schumi, astfel incat in cadrul echipei sa fie statut de egalitate?

L-a ajutat Schumi pe Irvine sa iasa campion? Iar irlandezul nu a fost in stare sa o faca.

Dar cred ca s-a tot vorbit de treburile astea.....

TD: Let's just say that for me this ECU has a very strange shape, a triangular one, so it was clearly designed for a specific car last season. It's the same thing for the power box that goes with it. The position and the angle of the connectors are proof of a bespoke design for another car. It took a month's work by one of our engineers in the design office to adapt this ECU to the R27 for winter testing. We had to reposition all these components, and their cooling requirements were also different to what we already knew.

Q: So its installation on the R28 will also be modified...
TD: These units won't be installed where we put them for our winter testing with the R27. However, some things like the programme or the harness will be identical.

Q: Has the loss of traction control forced you to revise certain of the 2008 car's parameters like the weight distribution or the suspension geometry?
TD: No, not really. I don't understand those who say that they've modified their cars because of this new factor. If a car is intrinsically good with traction control it'll be good without it. Adapting to the new grip levels due to the lack of traction control will be done by the set-up more than by the design. On the other hand, it's true that the loss of traction control could amplify a balance problem whose influence on performance was minimal up to now.

Q: What parameters have to be closely watched?
TD: Mechanical grip at the rear and tyre wear, in particular.

Q: Is sorting out the electronic problem the biggest challenge of the inter-season?
TD: Not at my level. There are some other very important things on my drawing board!

Pai firma producatoare a noului ECU are din intamplare "McLaren" in denumirea completa.

Multa lume s-a inflamat pe tema testelor pe care M.S. le face pentru Ferrari. In special fanii Renault (suparati pe Schumi inca din vremea cind parasea Renault Benetton al lui Briatorre, campion fiind, pentru Ferrari) . Cita cerneala poate sa curga pentru niste simple teste!
Si acum vine intrebarea:
Nu credeti ca si Renault si McLaren si-ar dori sa le testeze OMUL masina in conditiile in care, in afara de el si David Coulthard, pustimea nu prea stie cu ce se maninca problema??

Asta cu noul ECU mi se pare o mare mizerie. Cu atat mai mult cu cat s-a luat ECU-ul unui participant la F1. Nu prea semana a conditii egale. Ma intreb daca si aia din GP2 merg tot asa, cu un singur tip de ECU? Pare destul de stupid.

La fel s-a spus si cand Bridgestone a devenit singurul furnizor de pneuri si cu scandal sau fara, sezonul a fost disputat si animat. Tind sa cred ca si la anu' treaba va sta la fel. S-a luat un ECU de la un participant in F1 pentru ca se concureaza in F1 doar. Poate in 2009 o sa avem sasiul luat de la Renault, in 2010 numai motoare BMW si toata lumea o sa fie multumita. Gata si cu spionajul icon_mrgreen.gif

In cazul asta va trebui ori sa devii golf/tenis/table/DTM man, ori sa te bucuri de spectacol atata timp cat el mai exista in F1.

Ma bucur ca tifosii macar recunosc incorectitudinea si ajutorul din partea FIA acordat unor terte echipe.

Te bucuri cel mult ca eu nu sunt naiv. Chiar nu inteleg ce astepti de la un sport in care se invart miliarde de dolari. Daca as investi bani in F1 atunci as avea motive sa-mi fac griji. Ce se intampla cu banii altora, nu-i pbl mea. Fie accept ce mi se ofera, fie sting tvu' la ora 15 00.

Max Mosley a vizitat Belgradul azi si a discutat se pare cu primul ministru sirb despre dezvoltarea unui viitor circuit de F1 in Serbia. Nu au fost date nici un fel de detalii.( cf. GP Update).
Cum reusesc astia din jurul nostru sa se miste asa de repede, ca la noi a durat o vesnicie sa faca un amarit de sircuit stradal??

@TMihai: nu vreu sa pornesc o polemica insa, la cauciucuri era vorba de furnizori - s-a trecut la furnizor unic. Adica, fara a minimiza importanta lor, erau rotunde si negre. Aveau aceeasi aderenta pentru toti. La ECU, cred ca e un pic mai complicat, vezi ca cei de la Renault spun ca trebuie modificat mult la masina pentru noul ECU (la McLaren nu trebuie). Asta spun eu, cand s-a trecut la un furnizor unic de pneuri nu au trebuit sa modifice masinile (ok, poate au modificat setari) pe cand trecerea la un ECU unic inseamna cheltuieli mari pentru unele echipe. Si asta nu e echitabil. Disputat, animat, hmmm... cred ca pilotii sunt atat de combativi incat pot fi scosi pe pista fara masini si iese spectacol; nu cred ca asta era ideea. Extrema la furnizor unic e campionatul monomarca, nu cred ca e o directie buna pentru F1.

Eu zic ca situatia gumelor a fost in mare masura asemanatoare cu cea a ECU-ului. Nu a fost deloc asa de usor sa modifice doar niste setari si gata masina sa se adapteze perfect. Dovada e Renault care pentru ca a avut un design al suspensiei diferit de alte echipe nu s-a putut adapta la B-stoneuri deloc in tot anul, indiferent de setare aleasa. Si la fel ca la gume si la chip o anumita echipa va porni din start cu un anumit avantaj. Astfel ca in timp ce restul echipelor se vor chinui si vor pierde timp sa se adapteze la noua componenta, echipa care deja stie componenta respectiva va putea sa foloseasca timpul respectiv pentru research in alte departamente.

Ti s-a raspuns deja. Dar ca exemplu in plus, Ferrari a avut in 2007 un sasiu mai lung decat celelalte echipe stiind deja cum se comporta pneurile Bridgestone dupa atatia ani. diferente asemanatoare cred ca vor fi si in 2008 intre Mclaren si restul.

Alonso has Honda seat fitting

Fernando Alonso spent an entire day at Honda's Brackley factory this week and even had a seat fitting, reports from Germany on Thursday said.

Sport Bild claims that the double world champion, who is still yet to commit to a team for 2008 after splitting with McLaren, is 'nearing an agreement' with the Japanese outfit that recently tabbed Ross Brawn as its new team boss.

It is reported that the first approach to Alonso about possibly joining Honda was made by F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone, after the previously Nick Fry-led team embarrassingly netted just six points with its RA107 package this year.

The publication said Alonso would take the place of Rubens Barrichello; the Brazilian veteran who would move to Honda's satellite team Super Aguri in 2008 as Takuma Sato's new team-mate.

Alonso's manager, Luis Garcia Abad, on Thursday was not contactable.

Chestia cu contractul pe 1 an am mai auzit-o, dar la Ferrari nu o sa aiba loc prea curand. Sa mearga bine Raikkonen si Massa si astfel Alonso nu va intra in calcule.

Iar Alonso avea contract cu McLaren pana in 2010. Mie mi-ar placea mult sa-l vad la Ferrari, fara ordine de echipa, dar si fara circul HAM-FA de la McLaren.

Ajuns la Ferrari, va dori acelasi lucru ca la Mclaren si anume statutul de vedeta no.1. Cine isi inchipuie ca va accepta Kimi sa fie lt. lui Alonso? laugh.gif Imi si imaginez titlurile din presa spaniola "Ferrari il saboteaza pe Alonso", "Kimi, betivul care nu il lasa pe Alonso sa devina campion", "Schumacher fura piulita de la roata dreapta-spate a masinii lui Alonso" etc.

Radeti voi, dar ia puneti-va si voi intrebarea: de ce Alonso vrea contract doar pentru un an? Raspunul e simplu: pentru ca din 2009 are deja contract cu altcineva. Si cine este acel altcineva incat sa renunte la Renault? Eu zic ca e doar o singura echipa. Si aia e Ferrari.

Eu in locul lui Alonso as renunta la Renault si pt BMW. O echipa in crestere clara de forma. Il vad la Ferrari numai daca si-a "negociat" contractul in timpul scandalului de spionaj. Sa nu uitam ca marturia lui a dus la penalizarea Mclaren.
Totusi, in echipa cu Kimi, dezastrul din sanul echipei de la Mclaren bate la poarta Ferrari.

Federatia Internationala de Automobilism (FIA) a publicat, vineri, o ampla explicatie privind decizia sa de a nu sanctiona echipa de Formula 1 Renault in cazul scandalului de spionaj in care a fost implicata alaturi de teamul britanic McLaren, anunta apropo.ro.

FIA a precizat ca nu a sanctionat echipa Renault deoarece inginerii sai nu au vazut decat patru schite confidentiale de monoposturi, pe care nu le-au putut folosi, insa, in interesul team-ului lor. FIA a explicat că atitudinea foarte cooperativă a Renault și a lui Phil Mackereth, inginer care în septembrie 2006 a plecat de la McLaren la Renault, i-a impresionat favorabil.

Consiliul Mondial al FIA a decis, joi, in urma unei sedinte extraordinare ce a avut loc la Monte Carlo, sa nu sanctioneze echipa de Formula 1 Renault in cazul scandalului de spionaj, in ciuda faptului ca echipa franceza a fost gasita vinovata de incalcarea articolului 151c din Codul Sportiv International, prin detinerea de informatii tehnice secrete de la rivalii de la McLaren Mercedes.

Our recent technology investments, the return of Fernando Alonso to the team, and the promotion of Nelsinho Piquet, all signal our intent to return to winning ways next year. Renault is also delighted to welcome a talented, young Frenchman to the team as test driver."

Fernando Alonso rejoins the Renault F1 Team after spending the 2007 season at McLaren-Mercedes. Alonso drove for the Renault F1 Team between 2003 and 2006, during which time he scored 15 Grand Prix victories and won two world championships, in 2005 and 2006. He will play a key role in the team's efforts to return to the front of the field in 2008.

"I am delighted to be returning to Renault," commented the 26 year-old Spaniard. "This is the team where I grew up as a driver in Formula 1. Now it is time for us to begin a new chapter together. I am very excited about working with this great team once more, and confident that together we can move back to the front of the field. Renault had a difficult year in 2007, but I know that the team has real strength in depth. I am confident they can produce a fast and competitive car and be back at the top in 2008."

Nelson Piquet Jr will complete the team's race driver line-up. The 22 year-old Brazilian spent 2007 as the Renault F1 Team's test and reserve driver, after finishing runner-up in the 2006 GP2 series championship. He will make his F1 debut at the 2008 Australian Grand Prix.

"First of all, I want to thank Flavio and Renault for putting their confidence in me for 2008," commented Nelsinho. "It is a fantastic opportunity to make my Formula 1 debut with one of the top teams on the grid, and alongside one of the very best drivers in the sport. This drive is something I have been working towards since the end of 2006, and I am proud that my performances as test driver have earned me this position. I am looking forward to teaming up with Fernando, and learning from him. As a rookie, there is no better way to start your career than to have a double world champion as your reference point."

The team's 2008 challenger, the Renault R28, will run for the first time at a three-day teams test in Valencia, Spain from 22 – 24 January. The car will be officially launched at Renault's corporate communications headquarters in Paris, France on Thursday 31 January 2008.
